Atelier Varadinum Designs The Timaeus Fire Pit Fire Pit

Atelier Varadinum, the project leader of the awarded design Atelier Varadinum's Timaeus Fire Pit Fire Pit explains, Two words that would characterize this model are: elegant and robust. It is designed so that it can be assembled like a modular origami made out of metal. A graphic methaphor of the fire element, as described in Plato’s dialogues, stands at it’s base that is derived from a triangular pyramid. The discreet symbols of earth, air and water, complementary to fire, that are represented on the three support elements, are a reminder of the ancient wisdom of Greek philosophers. This geometric metaphor of fire is made to give shelter to the same element..
